Football World Cup 2010: All Whites at finals

The All Whites booked their place in next year’s football World Cup finals – and New Zealand sporting history – with a dramatic 1-0 win over Bahrain in Wellington last night. A passionate, sellout 35500 crowd at the Cake Tin saw Rory Fallon’s header and Mark Paston’s penalty save give Ricki Herbert’s team a spot at the world’s biggest sporting event for only the second time – and the first since 1982. The final whistle sparked scenes of incredible celebration as the capital got ready to party. Police and stewards had to hold back jubilant fans as the All Whites embarked on a lap of honour. Herbert, who played in the 1982 team, said his team had “given it everything, four years of total commitment”. “We did a little bit of homework and really pulled it out of the top drawer,” he said. ‘ “We thought we’d go through without conceding a goal, we thought one would do it. It’s just so emotional.” Fallon, whose father Kevin was an assistant coach during the 1982 campaign, gave a succinct summary of his all-important goal: “Them ones I don’t miss.” Paston said facing the penalty that would have ended All White hopes was “a bit surreal”. “I basically guessed which way and it ended up in my hands – it was great.” Team captain Ryan Nelsen, who plays for Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League, paid tribute to the Wellington supporters. “I’ve played in some incredible atmospheres in my time but this is right up there. Watching Live Soccer Online

This article is definitely for fans of soccer. Whether your absolutely hardcore about it or simply like to watch it occasionally. Whether you have a favorite player or an entire team that you cheer for. Read on because you’ll want to hear this.

With the advancement in online technology and quite often a minimum amount to pay, you will be able to watch live soccer on your computer providing you have a valid internet connection. You will not have to pay a high-priced cable subscription or shell out for expensive satellite equipment and installation charges.

The internet has progressed beyond recognition over the past few years and many aspects in everyday life rely on internet technology. From medical well being to academic issues, crime management and now sports telecasts, the internet has revolutionized the way we live our day-to-day lives.

With just minimal searching on the internet, it is possible to find websites which enable you watch live soccer online. Football is not the only subject matter you can watch, these websites can also grant you access to sports, comedy, films and music.

It is unlikely these websites actually stream any information themselves. They are more likely to act as a gateway and give you access to links to other services which provide the actual streaming service.

Before you shell out the fees, make sure to look through the schedules that the websites offer. How many matches do they provide you with? Are your teams involved in a lot of those games? Often, you will find that you can watch most of the matches that are generally shown to satellite providers only.

When you have signed up and are presented with a number of links to choose from, watching your preferred match is easy. Most matches are available through Windows Media Player or Real Player but some require specific peer-to-peer applications, but these are all freely available to download.

Once you have chosen to join the world of online sports telecasting, you can enjoy countless hours of soccer entertainment with the click of a mouse. The great thing is, you can do so no matter where you are as long as you have an internet connection. You are not confined to your home computer.
